Where We Talk Art… With Artist/Instructor Margaret Egli

Join Dave and Michelle, as they talk with Instructor Margaret Egli, a Neo-Impressionist Artist.

Listen as Margaret begins the story of her journey of a young girl growing up in WWII Europe. From there to Canada, where she studied graphic and fine art at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Then back to Switzerland where she painted Plein Air throughout Europe for 40 years as she participated in exhibitions, created commissioned lithographs of small towns for the government and rendered many commissioned portraits for heads of state.

Margaret and her husband retired to Florida in 2000 and she continues to exhibit, has won many prizes in Plein air competitions and teaches workshops at the Visual Art Center where she teaches Neo Impressionism style painting techniques. She also travels abroad, including Italy, Switzerland, Australia and Ireland. Margaret’s style is Alla Prima, her fast brush strokes showing strength and natural feeling for color.
