this one is easy and
oh so comforting
“No Peek” Stew
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat (cut in 1” pieces)
- 4-5 stalks celery (cut in diagonal chunks)
- 3-5 carrots (cut in diagonal chunks)
- 1 large onion (cut in chunks)
- 2 potatoes OR 1 can of potatoes (cut in chunks)
- 1 can beef broth
- 2 cans tomatoes (undrained, chopped or diced)
- 6 T. flour
- 2 t. sugar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Stir everything together in roasting pan or pot; cover tightly.
- Bake 4 hours – no peeking!!
Serve with biscuits or crusty bread – yummy!
Makes 4-6 servings.
