Victor visits the Northport Art Center (NPAC) to chat with Clare who is a very energetic artist, youth director and instructor with a style that has been described as romantic realism.

 

At the age of 8 and traveling around the world with her parents, Clare found a lifelong passion for art. She began documenting her experiences with drawings and, after seeing the Sistine Chapel and the Mona Lisa, decided to become an artist. After receiving her Associates in Fine Arts, she built an active art career by painting commissioned portraits and community murals, yet she still didn’t see herself as ever being a teacher.

 

So how did she end up doing just that? Well, why don’t you listen in and find out how her incredible journey led her to the NPAC. “I feel that my diverse training and experiences have shaped a fearless approach to any artistic task put before me.”
