Partnership For The Arts Talk Show

Episode #27 – Tony Walker

Join Dave and Catherine as they talk art with Marble Sculptor Tony Walker. In 1998 Tony was taking a nature hike in the woods near his home in Baltimore where he discovered a pile of discarded blocks of marble tumbled down a hillside and had an epiphany – “I would become a marble sculptor.“ This now retired surgical nurse soon found that these two professions had transferable skills you might say. Skills he has used to create over 200 works of art since that fateful day. Listen in and learn out how this “not so- mainstream” Artist has gone off grid and now displays over thirty statues on his property in Arcadia, Florida. Pictured below is the statue” Universal Fruit” on display At the VAC in Punta Gorda FL.
