Partnership For The Arts Talk Show

Episode #3 – Kim Phillips

Listen in as Dave and Nanette talk with Kim Phillips, Programs Manager for the Visual Arts Center, about the VAC’s top of the line summer art camp – known as The Art Explorers Club – and summer teen art workshops. Kim talks about the philosophy behind the summer camp program and the VAC instructors’ commitment to introducing kids to painting, pottery and jewelry-making. If that weren’t enough reason to tune in, wait until you hear about instructor – and war veteran – Robert Pavon and how art played a crucial role in his post-war recovery. You’ll also hear about an exciting collaboration between the VAC and The Boys & Girls Club. (Don’t be surprised if it makes you want to respond to their appeal for sponsors!) Thanks for listening!
